 FibreAid is an independent fibre optical services company servicing businesses around South Africa and the African continent. We dedicate our skills and resources to providing our customers with a complete fibre optical solution. Our services have taken us from the Sahara desert to the Atlantic Ocean. Justin Hartley identified an aperture in the market for specialised fibre optical services and founded FibreAid in Cape Town in January 1997. Justin's aim was to service the then-fledging fibre optical market, offering small and large companies the opportunity to have a quality fibre splicing and testing service. With an ethos of attention to detail, loyalty to high-quality products and services as well as critical turnaround times, FibreAid soon became well known in the rapidly expanding cabling industry. During this time FibreAid was contracted to work on some large new developments that were taking place in and around greater Cape Town. FibreAid has since become the preferred supplier of fibre services to many large multi-national companies operating in South Africa: Dimension Data, Business Connection, DeBeers Marine, Eskom, PPC, ADC Krone - South Africa. The FibreAid customer base grew rapidly and before long, the skills of additional technicians were required. With in-house training and the high standard of workmanship established by the company, FibreAid's new technicians soon became highly sought-after in the cabling industry. The company continued to grow and soon began attacking the single mode- and largely untapped African market. Although working on-site in Africa can be difficult at times, FibreAid has always found a means to deliver on time and to client specification, ensuring a satisfied customer at the end of each project. Despite the associated difficulties of the single-mode market, FibreAid has successfully managed to land a firm foothold in this market and has completed many projects with great successes to date.  Splicing Projects The migration into the single-mode market also required that FibreAid purchase new and top of the range equipment.
